Prerequisites for uploading data to SMDH
Introduction
This guide will take you through the steps required to upload streamed or batch data to the SMDH MDEP platform. This guide presumes you have just started your SMDH journey or have just been a successful applicant of the SMDH Digital Innovation Fund.
Guide
First Contact
Your first step will be to get in contact with a SMDH Business Development Officer (BDO). To get assigned a BDO you will need to fill in our contact form which can be found here. If you have been one of the lucky few that is a successful applicant of the DIF fund you will be assigned a BDO automatically.
Make sure to tell your assigned BDO you plan on uploading data to MDEP and this will start the next step.
User Service Agreement
The User Service Agreement (USA) will be provided to you by our BDO team. The USA is an agreement between your company and SMDH. In short it allows us to store and process your data while providing you with protections against misuse of your data. Please read the full contract before signing.
Signing the USA will move you onto the next step.
SMDH SSO Organisation Admin Account
Your BDO will now ask you some questions which will allow them to set up your SMDH Single Sign On (SSO) Organisation admin account. These will be simple questions like who do you want to be your administrator of your company for your users and permissions, your company name and a short name for your company.
After answering these questions you will receive an email with your account details and an information pack which will show you how you can manage your own users and permissions inside of SMDH.
MDEP First Login
Go to https://mdep.smdh.uk/ and login with your account provided in the last step. Please also add a picture and description of your organisation to your organisation by clicking the manage button and filling in these details.

You have now completed all the prerequisites for uploading data to SMDH. You can now move onto our streamed data guide or batch data guide depending on your use case.
